MetisRouter Referral Program

Who should join

The program is designed for people who already help developers choose model infrastructure: AI app founders, consultants, agency builders, automation specialists, open-source maintainers, educators, and technical creators.

• A good referral is a real team or builder who wants to route model calls through MetisRouter, not a coupon-only signup.
• The best fit is a user who can benefit from one base URL, one API key, multiple model families, and request-level usage logs.

Invitee benefit

Eligible invitees keep the normal payment amount and receive extra balance after their first eligible top-up. This is intentionally 20% extra credits rather than 20% off, so fixed-price products and provider checkout flows stay consistent.

• Example: if an eligible invitee pays $100 for the first qualifying top-up, MetisRouter credits the normal $100 balance plus $20 in referral bonus credits.
• The bonus applies only to the first eligible top-up tied to a valid referral relationship.
• Failed orders do not consume the first-top-up bonus; pending or successful eligible orders reserve it to prevent duplicate claims.

Inviter reward

Inviters earn from actual platform revenue, not from face-value quota. Rewards are created as pending settlement first and become available only after the payment is settled, reviewed, and cleared by risk checks.

• Reward basis: settled net USD actually received by MetisRouter after provider fees and after excluding refunds, chargebacks, disputes, reversals, bonus credits, and unsettled webhook amounts.
• Reward rate: 5% of qualified settled net revenue during the eligible first-year referral window.
• Available rewards can be transferred to usable platform balance after review conditions are satisfied.

Settlement example

A transparent example makes the accounting easy to audit. If an invitee pays $100 and receives $120 in usable credits because of the 20% extra-credit bonus, the inviter reward is still based on the settled cash revenue, not the $120 credited balance.

• If the payment provider settles $97 after fees, the pending inviter reward is $97 x 5% = $4.85 in platform credit.
• If the order is refunded or disputed before release, the pending reward is rejected.
• If a reward has already been released and a later refund or chargeback arrives, MetisRouter records a reversal and can recover from referral balance, normal balance, or future rewards.

What to share

Referral pages convert best when the user sees a relevant reason to try the product before signup. Share the MetisRouter workflow that matches the invitee's job rather than sending a bare coupon message.

• For coding-agent users, share Cursor, Cline, Claude Code, Codex CLI, Open WebUI, or MCP setup docs.
• For automation builders, share n8n, Make, Zapier, Pipedream, LangGraph, pricing, and Usage Logs examples.
• For AI product teams, share the model catalog, model ID docs, API reference, and cost calculator before asking them to top up.

Fraud and abuse rules

The program is built to reward genuine introductions while protecting the platform from self-referrals, fake accounts, duplicate payments, and chargeback loops.

• Self-referrals, repeated accounts from the same device or payment identity, code guessing, suspicious payment patterns, and high refund rates can move rewards into frozen review.
• Invalid referral codes do not block registration, but they do not bind an inviter, do not unlock the invitee bonus, and do not create commission.
• Refunded, disputed, duplicate, chargeback, or abusive activity can reject pending rewards or reverse already released rewards.

Where to track status

The console separates referral reward states so inviters can understand why money is pending and what evidence support needs when a review is requested.

• Pending settlement means the payment was received at the product layer but is not yet confirmed as settled net revenue.
• Under review means settlement, device, payment, account, or abuse signals require manual or automated checks.
• Available, rejected, and reversed states show whether a reward can be transferred, was declined, or was recovered after a refund or dispute.
